The biggest civil service union has called for more strikes in its ongoing dispute over jobs, pay and pensions.

Members of the Public and Commercial Service union (PCS) at the British Museum will take industrial action during February half term. This will include a work-to-rule campaign and a ban on overtime.

More than 100 members of the museum's visitor services and security teams will take seven days of action in February. This will include a range of activities such as informational picketing, rallies, and a media campaign.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to the question of how often you should bathe your dog. The frequency with which you bathe your pup will depend on a number of factors, including the dog's breed, coat type, activity level, and skin condition. For example, dogs with short coats or who live in warm climates may need to be bathed more often than those with long coats or who live in cooler climates. Similarly, active dogs who play outside a lot may need to be bathed more often than more sedentary dogs. And dogs with skin conditions may need to be bathed more often than those with healthy skin. Ultimately, it's important to consult with your veterinarian to determine the best bathing schedule for your dog.

On the same day, more than 60 PCS members will begin five days of action at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in Wales.
The union has said that the strike between February 13 and 17 is likely to disrupt the printing of driving licences and impact other print jobs at His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). In a separate dispute, PCS members who work as legal advisers and court associates in more than 80 courts across England and Wales have announced four days of strikes, starting on February 3.

The announcement comes as workers prepare to strike next Wednesday. Up to half a million workers, including 100,000 PCS members, are expected to participate in the strike. Mark Serwotka, the general secretary of the Public and Commercial Services union, said that the union had warned ministers that its industrial action would spread if they ignored its demands. He added that the union had kept its word.

The Government has failed to provide any new money for its workforce, the very people who kept the country running during the pandemic. This is a huge disappointment and shows a lack of appreciation for the hard work and dedication of these workers. If the government was serious about resolving the dispute, it could do so tomorrow. However, it seems that ministers are not interested in finding a resolution.

On Wednesday, our union will take its largest action in a decade, with 100,000 members across England, Scotland, and Wales telling the government that they demand a pay rise now to help them through the cost-of-living crisis and beyond.
